Trainee – Corporate Finance

Job description

Day to Day

  • Manage the daily operations of assigned Meridiam funds
  • Follow up of Investors requests
  • Capital calls calculations
  • Upstream preparation of the quarterly valuation process
  • Modeling portfolio and investor flows in fund models
  • Follow up of hedging contracts
  • Work closely with other departments within or outside the firm:
    • Investment Team
    • Investor relations
    • Compliance and Legal departments
    • Custodians, administrators and auditors
    • External service providers: legal counsels, tax advisors & banks

Periodic Reporting

  • Assist with the fund valuations (Discounted Cash Flows and other methodologies), IRRs and other performance measurements
  • Review of funds accounting and partner capital statements, financial statements analysis and waterfall calculations
  • Validation of the annual accounts with the auditors
  • Deliver the financial part of Investor reports

Global Projects

  • Help to improve processes and increase reliability of information
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Conduct proactive analysis of issues, and think creatively to identify solutions and improvement initiatives

Job requirements

Training and qualifications

  • Soon to graduate in finance
  • Previous long internship in a leading finance company (6 months)
  • Dynamic, with a strong taste for analysis and a good spirit of synthesis
  • You like teamwork and you think creatively
  • You speak fluent English
