Position Overview

We are seeking a talented Analyst or Associate - Financial Modeling to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong financial modeling skills and experience in building and interpreting complex operational financial models for P3s (Public-Private Partnerships) and other project finance transactions. This role will support multiple portfolio companies by developing operational models, training finance teams, and providing ongoing modeling support for valuations, change orders, refinancings, and restructurings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain complex operational financial models for multiple infrastructure projects, with a focus on transitioning from pre-financial close models to operational models

  • Support portfolio company CFOs and finance teams in managing and updating financial models and valuations

  • Train portfolio teams on the effective use and maintenance of financial models

  • Analyze and model the implications of change orders on equity and financing structures

  • Support refinancings and restructurings when required

  • Ensure model accuracy, integrity, and compliance with company standards

  • Prepare financial analysis and reporting for senior management and investors

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and model optimization

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or related field

  • 1-4 years of relevant experience in financial modeling at an investment bank, infrastructure developer, accounting firm, financial advisory, or auditing firm

  • Proficient in building complex financial models using Excel (including advanced functions, formulas, and macros)

  • Strong understanding of project finance, P3 structures, and infrastructure investments

  • Experience with transitioning models from development to operational phase

  • Knowledge of debt and equity financing structures common in infrastructure and project finance

  • Ability to clearly communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders

  • Experience with VBA programming and/or other modeling tools

  • Understanding of accounting principles relevant to infrastructure projects

  • Experience with sensitivity analysis and scenario planning

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
