Job Description
As a core pillar of Meridiam's mission and long‑term investment strategy, sustainability is embedded in the way the firm invests, manages assets and measures impact. Within the ESG & Sustainability team, you will contribute to the collection, analysis and reporting of ESG and impact data across Meridiam's portfolio. You will support research, sustainability and regulatory reporting and performance monitoring activities while gaining hands‑on exposure to key frameworks and initiatives related to sustainable infrastructure, including climate, biodiversity, social impact and the Sustainable Development Goals. This internship offers a unique opportunity to develop a practical understanding of how ESG considerations and SDG objectives are integrated throughout the infrastructure investment lifecycle and translated into measurable outcomes.
Duties and Responsibilities
ESG & SDG Data Management support
Collect, consolidate and analyze ESG and SDG data to support performance monitoring.
Maintain ESG and SDG data management tools, ensuring data quality and consistency.
Track ESG and SDG KPIs and contribute to the assessment of portfolio performance.
Investor Support & Regulatory Reporting (under supervision)
Contribute to ESG and impact reporting for funds and portfolio companies, including annual impact reports and investor requests.
Support the preparation of regulatory disclosures (e.g. SFDR, EU Taxonomy…).
Develop dashboards, analyses and performance summaries for internal and external presentations.
ESG Policies & Procedures
Support the review and update of ESG policies and procedures.
Contribute to the implementation of ESG frameworks and compliance monitoring across portfolios.
Scope & Autonomy
Work under close supervision of Analysts/Associates.
No ownership of tools, processes, or external deliverables.
No direct external representation but possible participation to market industry presentations and conferences.
Job requirements
Your Profile:
Experience & Education
Currently enrolled in a Master’s program (Sustainability, Environment, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Political Science or similar).
Demonstrated motivation for ESG/SDG and sustainable finance.
Skills & Competencies
Basic understanding of ESG/SDG concepts.
Good analytical skills and research capabilities.
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong written and verbal communication in English; French a plus.
Detail‑oriented, organized, reliable.
Curious, collaborative, and eager to learn in a team-oriented multicultural investment environment.
Competencies to be acquired during this internship
Practical understanding of ESG and SDG assessment frameworks applied to real infrastructure projects.
Data analysis and reporting skills, including interpretation of ESG indicators and contribution to investor‑grade reports.
Experience analysing environmental and social data and identifying key insights.
Knowledge on ESG, climate, and sustainability topics.
Enhanced communication and presentation skills through the preparation of concise, high‑quality materials.
Experience working in a multidisciplinary, international investment environment and understanding how ESG drives long‑term value.
