Position Summary
Meridiam is looking for a Financial Controller Intern to join our Paris office. The Intern will provide support to the financial controller team in managing the finances of several funds and their associated investment vehicles across Europe.
The Intern will report to the Deputy Chief Financial Officer.
Main responsibilities
The Intern will support the financial controller team on the following tasks:
- Manage day to day interfaces with corporate and finance service providers of the Funds (administrator, custodian, auditors…),
- Control the accounting of the funds prepared by external administrators,
- Manage cashflow (cash flow forecasts, capital calls, distributions, …),
- Manage the interface between the investment and asset management team and the external providers,
- Supervise all reporting and filing obligations and ensure the compliance of all operational and accounting information,
- Oversee of the audit process and annual accounts preparation,
- Prepare the financial part of the Investor Relations Report
- Monitor payments, receivables and payables.
- Update and monitor of Fund data in the internal investment software.
Job requirements
Training and qualifications
- Management school or university degree in finance or accounting,
- Strong financial, accounting and tax skills,
- Strong analytical capacities,
- Rigor and organization,
- Proactive with a strong team spirit,
- Advanced usage of Excel and accounting software,
- Fluent in English.
