About the role:


Within the Meridiam Finance team in Paris, the Corporate Finance Intern will contribute to the valuation and modeling aspects of Meridiam portfolios worldwide. The Valuation team is primarily responsible for assessing the value of Meridiam's invested portfolio for reporting to investors and regulators on a quarterly basis. You will report to the Valuation Manager responsible for portfolio valuations and the Chief Financial Officer.

Your missions:

  • Participate in the quarterly reporting process and assist with portfolio valuations, including Discounted Cash Flows (DCF) and other methodologies, Internal Rate of Return (IRR) calculations, and performance measurements.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of valuation methodologies for various types of investments.

  • Model portfolio and investor cash flows in fund models.

  • Assist in the preparation of investor reports.

  • Liaise with other departments within the firm, including Financial Controllers, Investment Teams, Asset Management Teams, Investor Relations Teams, Compliance, and Legal Departments, to support investor requests and ensure regulatory compliance.

  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, conducting proactive analysis of issues and proposing innovative solutions and improvement initiatives.

Job requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in finance, economics, or a related field from a reputable Business School, University, or Engineering School.

  • Relevant experience in financial services, audit firms, investment banking, or private equity funds is preferred.

  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work autonomously and proactively.

  • Excellent organizational skills and a strong team spirit.

  • Fluent in English.

  • Experience with VBA and Python is a plus.
