Job description
Meridiam is an independent investment firm specializing in developing, financing, and managing long-term and sustainable public infrastructure projects and assets in the mobility, energy transition and social infrastructure sectors. With offices in Addis Ababa, Amman, Dakar, Istanbul, Johannesburg, Libreville, Luxembourg, New York, Paris, Toronto and Vienna, Meridiam currently manages 18 billion euros of assets and more than 100 projects globally.
As an Investor Relations Intern, you will work within the Investor Relations team to meet the continually growing requirements of Meridiam’s global fundraising activities and diverse investor base needs. Meridiam has and continues to raise funds across Europe, Africa, and North America. Your missions :
Aid in the development of marketing materials across multiple raisings (primary fundraising / co-investments / secondaries) including Investor Presentations, Fund Financial Models and Private Placement Memorandums
Prepare responses to Investors on qualitative and quantitative questions regarding underlying funds/portfolio companies (both during fundraising processes and day-to-day)
Meet with clients (pension funds, insurance companies, banks, development financial institutions “DFIs”.)
Prepare ad hoc analysis and presentations for Senior Meridiam management, Investor Board Meetings and the Annual Investor Day Event
Develop Meridiam’s internal investor databases
Job requirements
Graduate from a leading Business School, Engineering School or University (Bachelor or Master’s degree)
Previous internship experience in investor relations, investment banking (M&A / project finance), private equity / venture capital, transaction services or management consulting firms
Completing a professional gap year (“année de césure”) as part of a typical Master program or assimilated
An interest in energy transition and ESG investments
The candidate should possess a broad set of quantitative, qualitative, and interpersonal skills
Strong team player but with an ability to also work independently
Ability to organise and perform work efficiently
High motivation and competency in PowerPoint, Word and Excel
Fluent in English is a must (French is a plus but not a necessity). Knowledge of German or a Nordic language is a strong advantage
