Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Associate to join our ESG team, focusing on ESG regulatory reporting and compliance. This role is critical in ensuring Meridiam’s adherence to evolving ESG regulations and disclosure frameworks, including CSRD, SFDR, TCFD, TNFD, and other global standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ESG data, regulatory frameworks, and investment fund operations.

Under the supervision of Meridiam’s Head of ESG and Sustainability, you will work closely with the Compliance team, Investors Relations team, and senior leadership to support the ESG regulatory disclosure and financial market intelligence to keep abreast of European ESG reporting requirements and global trends. You will contribute to the implementation of Meridiam ESG Policies and Procedures by ensuring they are aligned with the evolving ESG regulations. The role also includes contributing to the monitoring of the portfolio ESG performance and to the preparation of communication material.

Based in Paris (France), the ESG Regulatory Reporting & Compliance Senior Associate will work under the supervision of the Head of ESG and Sustainability.

The Senior Associate’s role covers the following key responsibilities:

·        Lead the preparation and submission of ESG regulatory disclosures (e.g., SFDR, CSRD, EU Taxonomy).

·        Monitor ESG-related regulatory developments, primarily in Europe and across other jurisdictions where Meridiam has business activities, and assess their impact on the fund’s operations.

·        Collaborate with compliance and investors relations teams to ensure regulatory ESG integration and reporting alignment.

·        Maintain and oversee necessary improvements ESG data collection processes and systems to support accurate and timely regulatory reporting.

·        Support ESG due diligence processes for new investments, ensuring regulatory compliance and risk mitigation.

·        Participate to the portfolio companies ESG data gathering and support their compliance with fund-level reporting requirements.

·        Contribute to the development of the fund’s annual ESG reports and investor communications.

·        Represent the firm in ESG regulatory working groups and industry forums.

Job requirements

Background and experience required

·        Between 5 to 8 years of relevant work experience in ESG compliance, sustainability reporting, or regulatory affairs within financial services or consulting (audits, data analysis).

·        Strong knowledge of ESG regulatory frameworks (SFDR, CSRD, EU Taxonomy).

·        Exposure to international benchmarks and frameworks (UNPRI, TCFD, TNFD, NZAM, etc.) is a plus.

·        Licence or Master’s degree in Sustainability, Finance, Law, or a related field, with a demonstrated interest in and understanding of European ESG regulatory disclosure requirements and global trends.

·        Strong analytical and organizational skills, and excellent oral and written communication skills.

·        Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a diversified environment.

·        Based in Paris (France).

·        Fluent English and French.
