Job description
As a Traffic & Revenue Analyst you will analyze traffic and socioeconomic data and prepare reports and forecasts of traffic and revenue for the company’s in Meridiam’s portfolio as well as supporting development of new projects. This will be done through the application of traffic and revenue analytical principles as well as the development of knowledge gathered through the analysis of data to develop annual revenue budgets and long-term revenue forecasts of toll roads and potentially other demand-based projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Analyze traffic and socioeconomic data of the portfolio companies and the regions and sectors that drive such demand.
Develop and update spreadsheet-based models to forecast traffic and revenue given historic data and economic conditions and present findings to the project companies and internally.
Define, implement, and analyze traffic data collection programs including but not limited to traffic counts, market research surveys, opinion polls and travel time surveys.
Support the work of external consultants preparing traffic and revenue forecasts for new opportunities on behalf of the portfolio company or Meridiam.
Support the legal and contractual workstreams and departments of Meridiam and its portfolio company and understand the obligations, and operational characteristics.
Contribute to Meridiam’s research projects in the traffic and revenue field, which includes participation in project meetings, liaising with the project team members, and oversight of the project deliverables
Prepare memos examining trends, leading indicators and travel patterns within regions of interest.
Develop and improve methods for analyzing traffic data using scalable and robust techniques.
Manage the work orders for a data scientist in the assessment, analysis and trend identification of large data sets from existing operations.
Evaluate the feasibility and usefulness of additional traffic data collection and market research
Prepare monthly reports that summarize the findings of the analyses conducting particularly recent traffic, revenue, and economic conditions on Meridiam’s concession companies for use within the company.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or relevant field required, Master’s Degree in a transportation is preferred
1 to 3+ years of experience in transportation analysis (candidates with more experience will be considered
Experience with discrete choice modeling, econometrics, or data mining would be valuable
A specific interest in transportation and demand forecasting

Computer Skills:
Must be able to demonstrate high computer proficiency, especially with Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point and other PC based programs
Proficiency with ArcGIS, network modeling (TransCAD or Cube), statistical software, SQL, or Python would be valuable
